THE .PSD SHOW
ABOUT
-
Adobe Photoshop is the vernacular of contemporary images. New technologies have significantly shifted photographic practice, broadening the scope of its developmental potential and vocabulary. The .PSD Show engages this discourse in its native tongue; opening the digital image in its raw and immaterial state. As a culture whose communication is increasingly image based, we are obliged to explore such a program and see what activity occurs there -- so let's talk Shop.
Each participating artist has contributed an original .PSD file specially commissioned for this project. These files are freely available for download and can be opened for use in Adobe Photoshop.
